The Autumn Chronicles I
The path before her was nearly clear of all fallen leaves. The naked trees hung over the cobblestone as she walked home. They always curled in as she walked, in an attempt to touch her or grasp a strand of hair. She was always faster, her platinum blonde hairs remained firmly attached to her scalp. Clutching her scarf and jacket tighter around herself she picked up her pace. With her adorable cottage in sight, a wave of relief nearly hit her, she would make it home safely. The winds picked up; the calm day suddenly became blustery. The leaves rustled beside the path, trembling at the opportunity to launch themselves onto the girl. Branches trembling and reaching, leaves whipping about the path, she sprinted to her front door. As she’d done many times before, she punched in the code for her front door, threw herself through the door, and slammed it shut right as the leaves crashed into the heavy, wooden door. Sliding down, she found herself on the floor, in a heaving mess. Her orange,

Behind the beautiful, blonde-haired maiden was a gang of four unruly men running behind her. Remembering the book’s advice, I ran towards her, knapsack on my back and dragged her behind me. Being chased by thugs was much more exhausting than I had imagined. After fifteen minutes of running through the grassy field, we finally caught sight of the Enchanted Forest, our safe haven.
“Oh thank heavens! That’s the forest! Almost to safety!!” Cinderella cried out, she looked exhausted – apparently she’d been running for a very long time. Sighing contentedly

“Let us remember where we came from… Whether rich or poor, orphaned or owned, pirate or marine…” the voice from the plaza droned on and on in the background. You attempted once more to shut the obnoxious sounds of the townspeople begging for your death or some type of retribution. There you were, awaiting your fate at the hands of these deluded townspeople, them and their medieval torture device, Reverse Hanging… you thought to yourself. I can find a way out of this one, I always do.
Now, what had you done specifically? Well, you floated ashore on your sel

Feet don't fail me now
Take me to the finish line
Oh my heart it breaks, every step that I take
But I'm hoping at the gates,
They'll tell me that you're mine
Looking towards the sunrise, you hiked your pack’s straps higher up onto your shoulders and grunted in response to the achy screams coming from your frozen feet. You hadn’t thought in a million years that you would be where you were. On a mountain, in late January, with a spyglass held close to your right eye you gazed out to see if anyone was approaching your safe haven. You never anticipated finding anyone when

Sifting through mountains of paperwork Ume didn’t pay much attention to the bamboo door as it slid open. Nor did she acknowledge the individual that stepped in.
“Tsubasa-sama… The rumors are true. You’ve returned home.”
Her emerald eyes darted up, the sleepiness and boredom that had once possessed her brain had vanished. Wide-eyed and muscles tensed she finally realized who was standing in front of her desk.
“Ukitake-sama! You finally came!”
With those words Ume leapt through her paperwork to greet her longtime friend. As soon as she got close to the captain of the 13th division she slowed
As far back as I can remember, the first thing I feared was being alone. Not only from memories of this, but also because my parents have told me stories about my habits as a little babe. When they brought me home from the hospital I was a small bundle of chaos. Or maybe I became one later on. If this didn’t occur in the first few months, it definitely happened in the second half of my first year. I refused to sleep in my crib. Now, I’m sure all babies go through rebellious stages and bite the hand (or nipple) that feeds, but I was a special little bugger.
If my parents were going to bed and I happened to be in the crib
The chills running down your spine, the choking sensation, the firecrackers that explode in your head, and the inability to catch your breath are all sensations that can be related with terror or fear. When you were young specific ideas and beings struck this fear deep within you, but as you grew older those ideas changed and adapted to your situation. What could those fears be? How could someone’s fears change so drastically over the years? Hopefully exploring my own fears and my experiences will help explain those questions but also help me understand the moments of utter terror and inexplicable fear.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, if I could have your attention please.” Arms outstretched, Present Mic spoke in a voice so loud, some of the students actually flinched. Paying no attention to this, he enthusiastically left his place by the blackboard and slowly stepped towards the desks. “It's time for the next round of seven minutes in heaven.” Taking your hand in his, he quickly pulled you from your seat and spun you around so that you were facing your classmates. “So let's all give a round of applause for our next contestant!” When no one made any sound at all, Present Mic gave you a reassuring pat before

“Welcome ___,” The head guard, Killer gives you a bow. “He’s still asleep so please hurry and get dressed.” He says, as another servant hands you your uniform. You nod and go into the servant living quarters to change into your uniform.
“This is ridiculous.” You mutter, adjusting the dagger on your thigh before easing the dress over it. Killer recruited you to be the Prince’s personal servant and secret guard. Today would be your first day servicing the prince. You walk out swiftly, meeting with Killer who then leads you to the prince’s room. “I hate you.”

Thuds of footsteps and sighs of annoyance. “Damn it, Killer. You said everyone could recognize her.” The redhead muttered as his ember coloured eyes darted around, trying to find a certain woman. All he could see were scattering people in fear of losing their lives as Kid walked by with a huge scowl gracing his face. His hand ran over his face as he passed a same house for at least twice this afternoon. A rustling sound caught his ears, but the captain was too annoyed to even bother about that until a mew rang through the air. Another step forward and another mew. This went on and on until Kid grew even more annoyed and turned aro

How did you get in this place? The last thing you remember was getting separated from your friends during a game of manhunt in the woods. So why we’re you now wandering down a hot rocky corridor? “Hello?” You call as you pass another torch. Just what was this place? A mine shaft?
Chains rattle in response. That was new, you shift and move toward the sound, peering into a room and freezing. What…? The young man was chained in the middle of room, but that wasn’t the weird part.
You sighed in exasperation as you collapsed onto your bed. The day was over, Finally. You guessed the day wasn't a totally horrible day. At the same time though, it was. Sure you'd seen long lost friends and made new allies but, you'd also hurt a close friend. All because you were being selfish, as usual. He had hurt you by what he said but, it was true. You had taken advantage of the fact that Ace cared so much for you. You had kissed him, finally. It was something that you had wanted to do for so long. Now that you had done it, you regretted it. You knew he was upset, maybe even mad. That's what scared you, he never got mad at you. You
